Teaching PhilosophyExcellent teachers do more than explain the material to their students. They create an environment that fosters interaction and learning. They engage the students by using a variety of teaching techniques, and they encourage active learning and critical thinking. These goals form the foundation for my teaching philosophy. I try to achieve them regardless of whether I am teaching large sized classes or mentoring individual students. Obviously, how these objectives are accomplished differs depending on the situation. Yet, by striving to attain them, I hope that my students will recognize the value of psychology, learn something about themselves, and feel proud of their academic accomplishments.
